Prudential Center to host Community Job Fair at New Jersey Institute of Technology on September 6th & 7th

NEWARK, NJ, September 4, 2007 - The soon to be opened Prudential Center in Newark is seeking candidates for nearly 1,000 part time positions it was announced today. AEG, the leading sports and entertainment company and Prudential Center's manager and facility operator, will be hosting a job fair at New Jersey Institute of Technology's (NJIT) Campus Center Atrium Lounge on Thursday, September 6th and Friday, September 7th from 9:00am - 4:00pm. Prudential Center is the first major sports and entertainment facility to open in New Jersey and New York in more than 25 years.


"This job fair will be a tremendous opportunity for the people in the community to learn about the variety of jobs that Prudential Center has to offer," said Dale Adams, General Manager, Prudential Center, AEG. "This building will be a place that the state of New Jersey and the city of Newark can be proud of, and we look forward to employing Newark and area residents who can show off their hospitality and pride while welcoming visitors to the greatest entertainment venue in the world."


Job fair guests will have the opportunity to meet representatives from each arena division to learn specifics about all of the available positions including building operations, parking & security, customer service and food & beverage. Applicants will then have the opportunity to apply for the job or jobs that best suit their training, experience and career goals.


"Our goal is to set the industry standard for customer service and ensure that the customer experience at Prudential Center is second to none," added Adams. "As we assemble our staff, we look forward to identifying a diverse mix of people that share our passion and values and that fully represents the diverse audience we expect the arena to attract."


Prudential Center will open on October 25th, with Bon Jovi performing the first of 10 concerts. It will be the home of the New Jersey Devils, Seton Hall men's basketball and the New Jersey Ironmen of the MISL, among others. Prudential Center will showcase 76 luxury suites, 2,330 club seats, and an array of amenities and conveniences for fans. It will seat 17,500 people for soccer games, 17,625 for hockey games, 18,500 for basketball games and 19,500 for concerts.
