Newark, NJ - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Regional Administrator Judith Enck and Senator Robert Menendez honored the Devils with an award for their environmental work.

Devils Chairman/Managing Partner Jeff Vanderbeek has been presented with an EPA Environmental Quality Award for his teams' work to cut waste and help others by providing prepared and untouched food from game concessions to local food banks. The Devils work with Rock and Wrap it Up!, a nonprofit that coordinates the collection of prepared food from concerts, sporting events and school functions that can then be delivered to charitable agencies.

Each year, EPA presents Environmental Quality Awards to individuals, businesses and organizations that have made significant contributions to improving the environment and public health. The awards are given within EPA's region 2 offices, which cover in New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and eight federally-recognized Indian Nations. This year, EPA presented 32 Environmental Quality Awards - ten of which were for New Jersey recipients.
