Newark, NJ: (October 31, 2011) Mayor Cory A. Booker, Members of the Municipal Council, the Early Childhood Center in the North Ward Principal Frednitta Gunning and at least 50 children from the Early Childhood Center will welcome Disney On Ice presents Dare To Dream to the City of Newark and celebrate the launch of the Mayor's Community Pass in partnership with Feld Entertainment, the producers of Disney On Ice. During the program, the children will also be treated to a reading of The Princess and the Frog and a special meet & greet with Princess Tiana herself! The event will take place on Tuesday, November 1, at 10 a.m., at the Early Childhood Center in the North Ward, at 29-39 Summer Place, in Newark.

Through the Mayor's Community Pass, Newark residents can purchase a deeply discounted $10 all-inclusive ticket for the 7:30 pm performance on Friday, November 18th of Disney On Ice presents Dare To Dream at the Prudential Center. Nearly 70,000 passes will be available through the Mayor's office and various Newark social service agencies. Since the inception of the Mayor's Community Pass program, over half a million passes have been made available so that Newark families have an affordable opportunity to enjoy quality live entertainment together.
