Brick City Fight Night Series PR Events Schedule
NEWARK, NEW JERSEY – March 31, 2026 Rising Star Promotions officially announces the full fight week schedule for Brick City Fight Night Series leading into its highly anticipated April 10 boxing event at Prudential Center, live on ProBox TV.
Headlining the card, undefeated 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist Hebert Conceicao Sousa (10-0, 5 KOs) takes on hard-hitting former world title challenger Johan Gonzalez (36-5, 34 KOs) in a high-stakes main event. The co-main event features an action-packed matchup between Francisco Daniel Veron (16-1-1, 10 KOs) and Raul Garcia (15-2-1, 12 KOs).

Fight week will feature multiple media and community-driven events throughout Newark, offering press and fans unprecedented access to fighters leading into fight night.
April 2 – Open Media Workout (4:30 PM)
Location: DORCA @ Boylan Street Recreation Center

Rising Star Promotions will host an open media workout featuring Newark’s own Yoell Cooper, along with invited participants Gabriel Gerena, Emmanuel Chance, and Lisandra Contreras. Media will have the opportunity to capture training footage and conduct interviews as fighters showcase their preparation ahead of April 10.
April 8 – Official Event Press Conference (1:00 PM)

Rising Star Promotions will host the official event press conference at Prudential Center, giving media access to Newark’s rising talent and featured fighters. This session will include face-offs, media Q&A, and photo opportunities.
April 8 – Hebert Conceicao Sousa Press Conference in Ironbound (4:00 PM)

Main event fighter Hebert Conceicao Sousa will headline a cultural celebration press conference in Newark’s Ironbound section, offering media an in-depth opportunity to hear from the Olympic Gold Medalist ahead of his featured bout. The event will include interviews, visuals, and final promotional moments leading into fight night.
April 9 – Official Weigh-In (12:00 PM)
Location: Robert Treat Hotel

All fighters will step on the scale for the official weigh-in before fight night. Media will have full access to face-offs, final photos, and interviews before their matchups ahead of Brick City Fight Night on Friday, April 10.
Fight Night Special Feature: First Responders Amateur Showcase
As part of the April 10 event, Rising Star Promotions will feature a special amateur boxing showcase highlighting local first responders, presented in partnership with Legacy Boxing. This unique segment honors the dedication and service of Newark’s police and fire departments, giving them a platform to compete and represent their communities inside the ring.
