Devils vs. Lightning

Through more than 100 regular season games against the Tampa Bay Lightning in their history, the Devils have over 60 wins against their Eastern Conference rival. In addition, the Devils have two series wins in the three postseason matchups between the teams, one of which came in 2003 en route to New Jersey's second Stanley Cup title.

In the 2024-25 season, the Devils and Lightning matched up for the first time on October 22 at The Rock, with the Lightning taking the win. Their second matchup on November 16 in Tampa resulted in another Lightning victory. Their final matchup of the regular season was January 11, with the Devils coming back on Stefan Noesen's game-winning goal in overtime, beating the Lightning 3-2.

The Devils and Lightning face each other in three games during the 2025-26 NHL season. Their first two matchups are slated in Tampa on October 11 and November 18. The Devils wrap up their series versus the Bolts at home on December 11.
