Devils vs. Captials

In 62 total games against the Washington Capitals, former New Jersey Devils superstar Martin Brodeur collected 40 wins. Amazingly, the Caps are one of seven teams in the NHL against which the Hall of Fame goaltender collected 40 or more Ws throughout his legendary 22-year career.

In the 2024-25 season, the Devils and Capitals played each other on four occasions. The two clubs split their season series with two wins each, though one was an overtime win for the Capitals on October 19. During that game, Nico Hischier made history when he recorded two goals in 10 seconds, the fastest Devil to do so. The Devils avenged that overtime loss on November 23 in D.C. when Dougie Hamilton scored a game-winning goal.

The Devils and Capitals compete in four games during the 2025-26 NHL season. Their matches kick off in Washington in November before they meet again on December 27 in Newark. The division rivals will visit each other two more times to finish off their series.
