Devils vs. Sabres History

In Game 7 of their 1994 Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series, the New Jersey Devils took down the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 behind goals from Bruce Driver and Claude Lemieux. The Devils would go on to make their first Eastern Conference Final appearance that year and win their first Stanley Cup Championship the following year in 1995.

The 2024-25 season began with back-to-back games between the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils. The Devils and Sabres participated in the 2024 NHL Global Series in Prague on October 4 and 5, resulting in two wins for the Devils abroad. The Sabres and Devils faced off for their final regular season matchup on February 2, 2025 in Buffalo, resulting in a 4-3 loss for the Devs.

The 2025-26 season features three games between New Jersey and Buffalo. The series begins with the Devils visiting the Sabres on Black Friday. The Devs host the next two matchups at the Prudential Center on December 21 and February 25.
